Ken, I recently realized I have known you since 1985—that’s over 23 years! I have many memories of you, Mark (who was the one who first got me turned onto Haskell Stone), Prentice and Paul . . . all who's inspiration lead me to leave my Pastoring position in Kalamazoo and moved to Ann Arbor. But in all that time I've never notice (or maybe overlooked) your goofy laugh.

I have cherished our occasional point-counter point discussions, and love to see how we have matured and grown closer to our Father. Although we may have occasional theological and political differences, I have found you to be the most fair-minded, balanced disciple of Yeshua I’ve had the pleasure to know and value as a friend

Over the years I’ve valued your convictions about not wanting the church to be identified with any one political party. Although I'm a proud red-blooded Conservative (who coincidentally votes Republican), my allegiance is to Jesus. I have long held that our citizenship is not here in America—it’s in heaven. I agree with you that the Church is meant to have a prophetic voice in the lives around us—and when we’re aligned with any one of the political powers, we often can’t reach those still living in the world

So keep helping us move toward God’s Kingdom and having it work in our own lives!

Not so. Your ability to laugh at yourself lends great credibility to your weighty discussions.

I can see that my treatment of these very weighty matters of the voice of the christian in the public square has been eclipsed by my socks with sandals and goofy laugh! :)
