bought my first jesus brand spirituality book
Here at this Anglican church, St. Mary’s in Central London, that is. (The book is in soft-cover here, and released sooner than in the States.) Been doing their Refresh conference and speaking at their church service on Sunday. Fitting, I suppose–my mother having been a life-long Episcopalian who probably never quite got my Jesus freak from of Christian faith, but loved me anyway as mothers do. Anyway, the unconditional love word. Any way to find a way to love, that’s anyway love. This is an amazing church, a charismatic Church of England Church which has it’s own seminary and plants churches around the world. The average age of the parish, I’m told, is twenty-seven and I believe it. A church that has been influenced by John Wimber and the Vineyard movement. Unlike so much of the charismatic movement in the United States that I’m familiar with, which has turned away from the contemporary culture, this church is fully engaged and thriving. Does a heart good.
But tomorrow, I’ll be thinking of my mother, who’d have loved to have seen her son speaking in a Church of England pulpit. Anyway love waits patiently, and patience has time on its side.

Ken
Thanks so much for all you shared at St Mary’s. Thought you were really engaging to listen to and the content was great stuff - good to have a postmodern up there at the front - loved you stopping in the middle of your talk and not having to finish points 3 and 4.
Sorry you did not get to preach on the Sunday, but then the Spirit had other plans i guess.
If you have much ongoing contact with St Ms then please make sure you keep bugging it about its recycling and its social justice leanings!
Have bought your book and like the look of it.
All the best
Tully

Pastor Ken, this is the church I went to while I was living in London last spring, and it is great! You should try to get out there sometime. By the way, I love reading your posts!
