"Be My Baby" by Al Green where he basically says "wontcha be my lady, wontcha be my baby, wontcha be my baby" over and over again.  It has this really excellent groove, is simple to wrap your mind around.

"Mercy Now" by Mary Gauthier, a folk-indie-bordering-on-country tune talking about how everyone (her father, her brother, her church and country) could "use a little mercy now".  Sounds like you were on the receiving end of some mercy that day.</description>
